Hi there!
I'm Callie Donnelly, experienced educator and homeschooling mom. With over a decade of experience as a teacher, tutor, and administrator, I bring a wealth of educational expertise combined with the values of homeschooling families. My heart and hope is to help foster a love of learning in an engaging, safe, and challenging environment.

Each year I will teach a few scheduled middle and high school courses, but I am also open to your ideas based on what your student(s) need. Services

Middle & High School English Fundamentals
This class focuses on building essential language skills. Students will strengthen their grammar, vocabulary, and writing proficiency through focused instruction and practice. We'll explore core literary concepts and develop critical reading skills, ensuring a solid foundation for future academic success. Classes include weekly grammar activities, grade-level literature selections, literature discussion and analysis, and formal (narrative, persuasive, expository) writing.​​

High School Literature
Courses
We'll explore various voices and genres, from classic novels to contemporary poetry, analyzing how authors craft compelling narratives and explore complex themes. Students will develop critical thinking, writing, and discussion skills, fostering a lifelong appreciation for the written word. The goal of these classes is to fully engage students in dissecting classic literature and to develop a love and appreciation for literature and writing.

Young Authors
This course can be modified to engage students ages 8-18, depending upon your need. Students will learn, practice, and publish various forms of writing, including a poetry anthology, a picture book, and a memoir. Students will leave class with tangible, printed books of their work.

Gardening
Buddies
A vibrant learning environment where older and younger students collaborate to cultivate both knowledge and greenery. Through hands-on activities, we'll plant a variety of vegetables and flowers, learning essential gardening techniques like soil preparation, seed starting, and proper watering. Older students will work with younger ones, building leadership and teamwork skills, while everyone contributes to beautifying and caring for our campus.​

1-on-1 writing tutoring for students of any age. Virtual and in-person tutoring available, dependent on location.
